About Peter
Standing up for Bracknell, Crowthorne, Sandhurst and Whitegrove.
Peter Swallow was elected as MP for the Bracknell constituency in July 2024.
Peter was a university lecturer and teacher specialising in classics before entering Parliament.
During the pandemic Peter taught secondary school classics and is a passionate advocate for the role of humanities education in a broad curriculum, as well as for Special Educational Needs support in schools. He is chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Classics, and Vice Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group for the South East.
