I am proud to be standing as Labour’s candidate in Bracknell, Crowthorne and Sandhurst, my home town. Only Labour can beat the Conservatives here, and only Labour will get Bracknell’s future back.
I was born in Wokingham, and my family live in Crowthorne. I’m not a career politician. I’ve worked my whole career in education. I’m a university lecturer and school governor, and I advise a national education charity on policy. Before that, I was a school teacher.
I’m standing to be Bracknell’s Labour MP because I want to re-build our public services and help families struggling with the cost of living crisis. After 14 years under the Conservatives, we need change.
We don’t have enough teachers, our kids’ mental health is suffering, and SEND students have been abandoned. On everything from the NHS to public transport, the environment to the cost of living, fourteen years of Tory government have robbed this country of its future.
In Bracknell, Crowthorne and Sandhurst, only Labour can beat the Tories. That’s why I am asking every voter to make a simple choice. More of the same with the Tories, or change with Labour.

I am ready to fight for the NHS, to keep it publicly funded, accessible, and free at the point of use.
We’re facing a crisis in local NHS services in Bracknell. People can’t register with an NHS dentist, there are long waits for prescriptions, and local GP services are in chaos.
As your MP, I will:
- Fight for more NHS dentist appointments in Bracknell, Crowthorne and Sandhurst,
- Call for more mental health support in the community, with a dedicated Mental Health Hub for Bracknell,
- Support the plans for a new, local Frimley Park Hospital, which Rishi Sunak tried to block,
- Back Labour proposals for more GPs in Bracknell, funded by closing the non-dom tax loophole.
Fight the Tory Cost of Living Crisis

Families in Bracknell, Crowthorne and Sandhurst are struggling to make ends meet. They need urgent action to tackle the cost of living crisis, and put more money back in their pockets.
As your MP, I will:
- Back Labour’s commitment to economic stability, which will lie at the heart of everything we do in government,
- Support the New Deal for Working People, to end zero hours contracts and fire and rehire, and make work pay,
- Call for root-and-branch reform to childcare, making it more affordable and accessible for working families,
- Campaign to reform business rates, cutting costs for locally owned retail businesses by introducing fairer taxes on big Internet companies like Amazon,
- Back the campaign to claw back every penny wasted by the Tories on dodgy PPE and COVID contracts for their mates, reinvesting the money we get back in our public services,
Stop the Sewage

Thames Water spent over 1,000 hours dumping raw or partially treated sewage into Bracknell Forest’s rivers last year. And the Tories let them get away with it.
As your MP, I will:
- Get tough with water companies polluting our rivers, including the Blackwater River in Sandhurst and the Cut in Bracknell,
- Back Labour’s plans for automatic fines and criminal liability for persistent dumping,
- Protect Bracknell Forest’s green spaces, and tackle climate change by switching on GB Energy, a nationally-owned clean power company.
Better Support for Bracknell Schools

Under the Tories, schools are underfunded and understaffed, and we are facing a crisis in SEN provision.
As your MP, I will:
- Campaign for mental health support in every school in Bracknell,
- Support Labour’s plans to hire 6,500 more teachers in key subjects,
- Back the campaign for breakfast clubs in every primary school in Bracknell, Crowthorne and Sandhurst,
- Fight to end the crisis in SEN provision by prioritising early intervention. More occupational and speech therapists in our schools, and reducing the time it takes to get assessed for SEN support,
- Increase provision for children with SEND in locally-built schools.
Get Tough on Potholes

After years of government underfunding, Bracknell Forest’s roads are in a bad state. We need national and local government to get a grip, and work together to fill the potholes.
As your MP, I will:
- Back Bracknell Labour’s £4 million investment in pothole repairs,
- Push for more funding from central government to match the council’s ambitions,
- End the constant roadworks with common-sense reforms to planning laws.
